Life Sktech

Asaduzzaman Khan, was born on 31st December, 1950 at Synpukur village of Dohar, Dhaka. He comes of a noble Muslim family. He is the 2nd son of late Ashraf Ali Khan and late Akramun Nessa. He passed the S.S.C examination from Tejgoan Polytechnic High School in 1965 and H.S.C from Jagannath College in 1967. Mr. Asaduzzaman obtained B. Sc (Hon’s) from University of Dhaka.

Mr. Khan started politics from his student life. He got inspired with the ideal of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He played the role in the ‘1969’ mass movement. He is the President of Tejgoan Thana Awami League.

Asaduzzaman Khan is a heroic freedom fighter. He participated in our nation’s pride War of Liberation in 1971 under the supervision of Captain Abdul Halim under the 2nd sector.

Mr. Khan was elected Member of Parliament of 9th Jatiya Sangsad on 29th December, 2008 and served the nation as Member of Parliamentary standing committee of Ministry of Housing & Public Works from 2009 to 2013, Member of Privatization Board from 2009 to 2013, Member of Bangladesh Press Council. He is the founder member of Padma College, Dohar, President of Ispahani School & College, President of Tejgoan College and Syndicate Member of Sher-e-Bangla Krishi University.

Apart from these he is working for the betterment of the People by establishing and developing various religious, educational institutions and other public works.

Asaduzzaman Khan elected Member of Bangladesh National Parliament in January, 2014 and took oath as the Minister of Home Affairs on 14th July, 2015.

Asaduzzaman Khan’s wife Mrs. Lutful Tahmina Khan, Chairperson of Savar Refractories Ltd. They are parents of a daughter and a son.

Mr. Khan has a great interest in reading books, Newspaper and Traveling. He visited United States of America, UK, Canada, China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland and many other countries.
